I thought Fri and Sat would be good gallery days, but I think they will work better when saved for special events. Like the Art and Craft Fair! And Beau's Arts Networking Event! and our Opening Receptions!

Play Reading Series: Susan and God

On Monday, December 14th at 7:00 pm, Nate Sykes and Jack Gardner, two very talented and ambitious theatre producers are holding their second in an ongoing series of play readings at 18 Rabbit. Their company is Anagram Entertainment, and more can be learned about what they're up to at their website, www.anagramentertainment.com.

The play being read on the 14th is Susan and God, by Rachel Crothers.

This event is Free, and beverages will be available for a suggested donation.

Reflections: the FAU Graphic Design Seniors' Thesis Exhibition

On Wednesday, December 9th, from 6-9 pm we are having a special ONE NIGHT ONLY exhibition and opening reception for FAU's Graphic Design Students who are working incredibly hard to show the fruits of their college experience in a gallery setting.

This event is FREE and open to the public, so please come out and see what these very talented designers have accomplished.

Drink n' Draw

We provide the model and the beer, you bring your drawing supplies and creativity.

This is not your typical class, just a chance to improve those figure drawing skills in a relaxed environment. You won't be graded, and all styles and skill levels are welcome.

Holiday Art and Craft Fair sign-up

The BYOA (bring your own art) Holiday Art and Craft Fair is a great chance for you to promote your artwork in a gallery setting, make some extra cash just before the holidays, and to buy locally from creative individuals.

And we want EVERYONE to participate in this event! Fine artists, craftspeople, basketmakers, jewelery makers, doll makers, crochet and macramé-ers, musical instrument makers, dressmakers, bakers--anyone who has got the creative bug, makes stuff and wants to show it off and sell it.

Sign up is currently open for this year's event, but space is limited to what the gallery can hold, so call Leah at (828) 279-1481 or email the gallery with "BYOA" in the Subject Line to reserve your space ASAP!

This is a "cash and carry" event, so be prepared to sell your work right off the wall. Artists keep 100% of the sales of their work. Please refer to the pricing below to determine how much space you will need. The Opening Weekend will be a festive event with food, drink, music, and all the artists. Unsold work may remain at the gallery for sale during regular gallery hours through Thursday the 17th.
